How classes work

CT Sports Club is a cricket academy for kids aged 6 to 17. We teach the game the right way from the first class: sound technique, safe habits and a love of playing, in small batches where every child gets real coaching time.

What you can expect from us

The basics every family gets, in every class.

Coaching

  • A planned session from our curriculum, every class
  • Batches of 10 to 13 players, grouped by stage
  • Every child bats, bowls and fields in every class
  • Placement by skill after a free evaluation, not just by age

Safety and care

  • A coach and an assistant coach at every class
  • Coaches are background-checked
  • Helmets for every hard-ball drill
  • Any suspected head injury: the player sits out and we call you

Keeping you informed

  • A short update from the coach every month
  • A written report at the end of each term
  • Bills that list each class date
  • A make-up class when you miss one, when a place is free

Reputation Athletics Field House

Indoor cricket nets in a sports hall

9 Gerber Blvd, Vernon, CT 06066. An indoor field house, so classes run whatever the Connecticut weather.

What to bring

  • Comfortable sports clothes and the academy cricket shirt (handed out at the first session)
  • Clean indoor sports shoes (sneakers or trainers)
  • A full water bottle
  • Your own bat and kit if you have them; if not, we provide bats and balls
  • No pads or helmet needed at first: the early stages use a soft ball. Protective kit comes in only with the leather ball and the bowling machine, and we tell you before then
